Our Metrics Catalog is on its way. Here’s what to expect.
What Is the Metrics Catalog?
The Metrics Catalog is a curated reference guide built for teams who want to measure what actually matters. Whether you’re tracking the health of a deployment pipeline, the effectiveness of an automation workflow, or the uptime of a managed service — this catalog will give you the right KPIs, benchmarks, and definitions, organized by service area.
No more hunting across spreadsheets, wikis, or industry reports. Everything in one place.
What’s Being Covered
The catalog will span five core areas of technical services:
Development — From deployment frequency and lead time to change failure rate and mean time to recovery. Metrics that reflect how fast and how safely your team ships.
Automation — Process efficiency ratios, task coverage rates, automation ROI, and error reduction scores. Know whether your automations are actually saving time.
Security & Analytics — Threat detection response time, vulnerability scores, data pipeline health, data quality indices, and coverage metrics. Measure your exposure and your insight.
Managed Services — Uptime percentages, SLA adherence, average ticket resolution time, and first-response rates. The numbers that define service reliability.
Why We’re Building This
Metrics mean nothing without context. A 99.5% uptime sounds great — until you realize your SLA requires 99.9%. A two-day ticket resolution time sounds slow — until you compare it to industry benchmarks for your service tier.
The Metrics Catalog exists to give that context. Each entry will include not just the metric definition, but how to measure it, what a good benchmark looks like, and why it matters to your business.
When Is It Launching?
We’re currently building it out and expect to publish the first version soon. We’ll be rolling it out section by section, starting with Development and Managed Services.
